Enchanted Forest of Light
Once upon a time Descanso Gardens was a sublime spot for a stroll. Now, a spellbinding one-mile trail transforms the landscape into a real-life fairy tale – a glittering festive wonderland of light and color. Striking HYBYCOZO 3D installations imitate a waving meadow that dances with light while an interactive display of Tom Fruin’s glass houses creates a dazzling village scene. If you go down to the woods today, you’ll be amazed.

Dr Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Dr Seuss’ festive classic is transformed for the stage. Told by Max the Dog, it’s the tale of the mean, green Grinch and his plot to steal the Christmas joy from Whoville. But he doesn’t reckon on the spirit of one little girl. Bold and belly-laugh funny, it’s best enjoyed with all the family. After all, "Christmas Day will always be just as long as we have we."

Follow Clara and her Prince into the snow-dusted realm of enchanted toys, princes and the Sugarplum Fairy as the Los Angeles Ballet bring this beloved festive tale back to the stage. As Tchaikovsky’s score plays out, audiences are transported to turn-of-the-century California – with Calla lily-dotted Spanish casitas, Pacific Ocean vistas and snow-capped Sierra Nevada mountains.

Home Alone in Concert
The Christmas caper that’s a must-watch every holiday season, Home Alone follows Kevin McCallister – an eight-year-old boy forgotten by his vacationing family. When bungling burglars, the ‘Wet Bandits’, target his home, Kevin defends it in the only way he can: with glass baubles, blowtorches and a pet tarantula. This year, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra accompany the movie with a live performance of John Williams’ score.
